Apple continues to recruit staff for its streaming video service

At this point and after a large number of rumors, little can think that Apple's intention to launch a streaming video service, integrated into Apple Music or independently, is still a rumor. Throughout the year that we are about to end, many have been the executives who they have moved to Apple, to try to shape a service of this type, praying its own content and becoming an alternative to Netflix and HBO, as long as the available catalog is not limited to all audiences, where brains, violence and bad words do not have room, according to several Hollywood producers.

The latest movement of Apple in this field, we find it in the last two signings made by the company according to Variety publication. According to this magazine, the new additions are Phillip Matthys from Hulu, who is already working in Apple's offices, and Jennifer Wang who will arrive at Apple in January from Legendary Entertainment.

Before joining the ranks of Apple, Matthys was in charge of the business division at Hulu, the same position he is currently occupying at Apple. During his career at Hulu, he was in charge of managing the arrival on this platform of series such as The Handmaid's Tale, Marvel's Runaways, The Looming Tower and Castle Rock, among others.

For her part, Jennifer was in charge of the legal affairs department from Legendary Entertainment and has been involved in different commercial agreements with Netflix, Amazon and HBO. ,

At the moment, the series that does seem to be confirmed, is a new season of Amazing Tales, by Steven Spielberg, a new season that should be one of the first fiction series that the Cupertino boys make available to users, although at the moment everything indicates that it will be next year, we may have to wait for 2019 .
