Most of the employees at Apple Park and other facilities that Apple has around the world, have been working remotely for more than a year. Tim Cook stated a few months ago, that until June 2021, you would not consider having your employees physically return to work in the offices.
According to The Verge, Tim Cook, through a memo that he has sent to employees, has set a date for the return of employees to Apple facilities. It will be in September and initially it will be 3 days a week, specifically Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and they will work remotely on Wednesdays and Fridays. Employees who require face-to-face work will return to the offices between 4 and days a week.
For all that we have been able to accomplish while many of us have been apart, the truth is that there has been something essential missing in this last year: each other. Video conferencing has shortened the distance between us, to be sure, but there are things they just can't replicate.
Employees will be able to work remotely two weeks maximum per year, although these job applications must be approved by managers. Last March, Cook stated that he could not wait for employees to return to the offices, stating that he would initially implement a hybrid environment so that the return to face-to-face work is not traumatic for his employees.
While Google and other large companies are opting to relocate their employees (which is assuming a reduction in the price of rents in San Francisco) and offer the possibility of working remotely, in Apple seems that they are not for the work.
