According to Variety magazine, and confirmed through one of Apple's spokespersons, Tim Cook's company has hired Kelly Costello as a business executive and it will be another of those in charge of reaching agreements with production companies, televisions and others, reporting directly to Philiip Matthys, head of Apple's video platform.
Kelly Costello was working as CEO of Broadway Business & Legal Affairs Video and was in charge of reaching agreements to create content as well as negotiations with the production companies. Previously, Costello spent 7 years at Viacom, going through various positions until finalizing as vice president of business and legal affairs for Music & Entertainment Grup.
Before going through Viacom and Broadway Video, Costello took his first steps in the audiovisual world on NBC Universal Television. With this addition, Apple wants to continue expanding the number of series, movies and television programs that it will offer through its streaming video service, a streaming video service that will see the light, at the earliest, in March of the year that is coming, as reported a few weeks ago The Wall Street Journal.
