As the global smartphone market sees sales continue to fall, Apple seems to play in another league and expects iPhone 14 sales to be even better than those of the iPhone 13.

However, Apple seems to be getting rid of this global situation, and in July, a generally bad month for iPhone sales because the new model is just around the corner, the iPhone 13 would have sold 33% more than its predecessor in the same period last year.
With this data, Apple estimates that the next iPhone 14 will sell even better than the iPhone 13, and has asked its suppliers to increase production to be able to deal with these sales. This is what DigiTimes assures after consulting sources in the production chain. It contrasts with the data that comes from the competition, such as the reduction of up to 30% in component requests to Mediatek, one of the main suppliers of Android phones.
However, not everything is good news in the Apple production chain, with closures announced in some of its factories due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So everything seems to indicate that if you want to get an iPhone 14 at its launch you will have to hurry or you will have no choice but to wait several weeks because it seems unlikely that Apple will be able to cope with the strong initial sales, which for the other side would not be a new thing this year either.
