Apple Releases Eighth Betas of iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 for Developers

Just a week ago, Apple released the seventh betas of iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5, and now it has just released the eighth version of those operating systems for developers.

If we take into account that today it has also announced its next virtual event for the next TuesdayIt should all be noted that in said keynote the news of these new versions will be presented and that they will finally be released for all users.

Apple has launched a while ago iOS 14.5 beta 8 and iPadOS 14.5 beta 8 for developers, a week after releasing the seventh version. This comes after Apple officially announced its April 20 event, where we expect Tim Cook and his team to introduce the new iOS 14.5 to the public.

These include a variety of new features, including the ability to unlock your iPhone using the Apple Watch, as is currently the case with Macs, and the new Siri voices.

Today's new version of iOS 14.5 beta 8 is available to developers and public beta users via an update OTA in the Settings app. As usual, if the update doesn't appear immediately for download, keep checking as it sometimes takes a few minutes to roll out to all registered developers. The build number for today's release is 18E5199a.

While we've been waiting for the version release iOS 14.5 Release CandidateNow it seems likely that Apple will do so after next week's event. Surely he wants to do it like this so as not to unveil ahead of time some new devices that will be presented at the event next Tuesday, such as a new iPad Pro, or the much-rumored AirTags.

If these devices are finally presented on Tuesday, they will appear in the iOS 14.5 RC code, and Apple wants to keep us in doubt until the keynote next Tuesday.

There, calmly, that nobody is in a hurry to be able to unlock their phone without putting a pin like in 2011.

Well, the event is only six days away. I hope they launch it when they finish it. Since it became known about the unlocking with the Apple Watch, the wait has been long….
