Senior Apple officials praise developers' work with ARKit

Augmented reality

Augmented reality was one of the key moments that will go down in WWDC history this year. The theory was short-lived but what made the difference in the presentation was a live demonstration of what ARKit, Apple's development kit for augmented reality, could do.

After an interview with Joz Joswiak, Apple's current marketing chief, it is clear that the Big Apple is surprised due to the acceptance of ARKit within the developer community, who have made great strides in this technology in just a few weeks.

ARKit: One billion devices to start with

Who knows the kinds of things that come your way? But let's start at zero

These are the words of Joswiak, which have a great relationship with the words that Tim Cook said last June at the world developer conference. Apple's goal is to achieve that augmented reality reaches all users, but not buying virtual glasses or new devices, but are aware that there are billion devices around the world, able through ARKit, to achieve a wide potential in relation to augmented reality.

And what Apple intends does not sound so far-fetched, they try to promote responsible consumption trying to improve current technology, through the ingenuity and constant work of the developers and engineers that make up Apple.

They have built everything from virtual tape measures, dancers made of wood (…) It is absolutely incredible what people are doing in such a short time.

Joswiak followed the interview praising the work of the developers with the new kit: ARKit. We have been able to see how we will be able to measure an object through an application, or see how a piece of furniture feels in our living room through the next IKEA application, in which Apple will intervene.
