For two days we have between us the 'Release Candidate' versions of iOS and iPadOS 14.6, the next big update to iOS 14 coming next week. This version does not bring as many new features as the previous one, iOS 14.5, which incorporated the possibility of unlocking the iPhone with Face ID through the Apple Watch when we have the mask on, among many other novelties. However, and by surprise Apple has released the first beta of iOS 14.7 for developers, a strange move that begins to fill the beta machine for developers in the coming weeks.
iOS 14.7 Now Available in First Beta for Developers
In this sudden way, Apple has released the first beta for developers of iOS and iPadOS 14.7. In addition, the first beta of watchOS 7.6, tvOS 14.7 and a new version of macOS Big Sur. With this movement, the big apple begins the new process prior to the launch of a new version of software for its devices.
Throughout the week or at the latest next week, Apple will launch the beta of these new versions publicly so that any user can test them on their devices and help debugging for the final version. However, next week Apple is likely to release iOS 14.6 officially. This version incorporates the news presented in the last keynote in relation to Apple Podcasts and podcast subscriptions, among other functionalities.
In the next few hours we will begin to see what's new in iOS 14.7, although so far the possibility of adding timers to the HomePod has only been discovered from the official House application on our iPhone, iPad and Mac. It is clear that this premature launch will bring with it some more novelty that has not yet been released by Apple. So, for now, to wait.
