Gone are those times when we looked with envy at those streaming services that were enjoyed on the other side of the Atlantic while here we had to put up with the unfortunate catalogs that the operator of our Fusion package charged us at the price of gold. Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime Video… now we have a choice, and the best is yet to come.
With the arrival of Apple's streaming service, TV +, at the end of this year we must add one of the most anticipated by many, Disney +, which will arrive in Spain in the first half of 2020. The latter will arrive at the end of this year in the United States, and has just announced the price of a special package that will make things very complicated for the rest of the services: Disney +, Hulu and ESPN + for $ 12,99 per month.
Disney + arrives with the entire Disney, Pixar, Marvel and StarWars catalog in hand, with all the old and upcoming productions that are made, some also exclusively for its platform. To this we add the live sports events offered by ESPN + and the series and movies on Hulu ("The Handmaid's Tale" is the most successful today) and the result is a package that will be very difficult to compete with. The price of Disney + will be $ 6,99, ESPN + $ 4,99 and Hulu $ 5,99, while the full package will cost $ 12,99 (the price of the sum of the three would be practically $ 18)
To all this we must add that the arrival of these services in Spain will mean, sooner or later, the departure of many of these contents from Netflix, the main streaming service in our country. Disney + is expected to be on the Apple platform (Apple TV) along with Apple's service, Apple TV +, for which we do not know prices. The Apple platform will include, confirmed, Apple's own service plus HBO, Starz, ShowTime and a long etcetera. Netflix has no intention of breaking into that platform.
