Although it is late, the jailbreak for iOS 10.2.1 is now available

If you are jailbreak users and you are not planning to update your device to take advantage of the new features of iOS 11At the moment there is no news about the possible arrival of a jailbreak for iOS 11, although Luca Todesco is working on it. If you are still on any version of iOS 1 or waiting for the jailbreak, you may be in luck, since the new jailbreak for iOS 10.2.1 and 64-bit devices is now available.

A couple of weeks ago I published an article in which I informed you about the imminent arrival of this jailbreak, a jailbreak that Abraham Masri has finally released so that any user with a compatible device can install it in the form of an .ipa file, so we are going to have to use Xcode.

This jailbreak comes too late and is unlikely to be as successful as the jailbreaks of yesteryear, where each release of a new version of iOS went hand in hand with a new version of jailbreak, but it was over a long time ago, since lthe community has completely lost interest and they have decided to earn money for their knowledge by going to the private sector instead of notoriety, since the latter does not feed.

Abraham Masri has released a .ipa file that allows us to jailbreak the following devices:

  • iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 10.2.1
  • iPhone SE with iOS 10.2.1, it works but some other problem.
  • iPhone 6s with iOS 10.2.1, it works but some other problem.
  • iPad Air 2 Wifi version with iOS 10.2.1, it works but some other problem.

However, there doesn't seem to be any reason why tech support should not finally be rolled out to all 64 bit iOS 10.2.1 devices. Additional work, apparently based on device video drivers, is required to extend support to other devices. Some of the exploits used as triple_fetch and zIVA are compatible with iOS 10.3.1 so it is likely that a jailbreak will also be released shortly for 64-bit devices managed by iOS 10.3.1.
