The business model of some companies is information. The two most famous companies that want to know everything about us are Google and Facebook, and they want to know so they can offer us personalized advertising and get benefits for it. To get our information they have to play their cards and, according to the European Commission, one of the cards used by the search engine company is abuse of dominant position forcing Android device manufacturers to include their applications in them.
According to Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager, «Google has a global strategy to protect and expand its dominance in Internet searches. It does imposing unjustified restrictions and conditions to the manufacturers of devices that use Android systems and the operators«. The commissioner also says that manufacturers have no choice and have to include both the Chrome browser and its search engine.

Competition technicians believe that there are three aspects incompatible with European legislation in Google's way of acting:
- Google has illegally hampered development and market access of rival mobile applications or services for requiring or incentivizing phone and tablet manufacturers to exclusively pre-install Google applications or services.
- Google has prevented phone and tablet manufacturers from wanting to install Google apps and services on some of their Android devices. develop and market modified versions and potentially competitors to Android on other devices, thereby illegally hampering the development and market access of rival mobile operating systems and mobile phone applications or services.
- Google decided to make Android open source, which means that anyone can use its code and develop modified operating systems. All business practices should be open and fair.
Now it is the Mountain View company that has to present its allegations to show that it has not violated any rule or law. If the judge dismissed his appeal, the company now owned by Alphabet would have to pay up to 10% of all profits made during 2015, which amounts to 7.450 million. On the other hand, I think that we users would be interested if Google lost the case, since that way manufacturers could not fill the devices with applications that we will probably never use, which is often called "bloatware." Well, you are really right, when I have had android phones the first thing I do if I can is root it, not to modify it or add features, but to eliminate all those applications that I NEVER use, unfortunately I cannot do it with the iOS jailbreak, Well, there are also several there that I don't get to touch and I have them set aside in 1 folder, at least it lets me do that.

The good thing about iOS is that some of these applications may be removed in the future, or so it seems from the iTunes code.
