Vine will remove porn videos

Sharing video through Vine on the social network Twitter, is something that we have almost incorporated into our day to day, which until now it was sharing 6 seconds of videos, some of great quality, has been drifted to videos with high pornographic content, to which Vine has had to position itself.

In a new Vine blog post, the company claimed that it has no problems with sexually explicit content on the Internet, it simply prefer not to be the source of it.

The result is a update of the rules and conditions of the service application, which prohibit sexual material.

Vine content policy change

We introduced Vine to make it easier for people to find, watch, create and share videos right from their mobile phones. We have seen the community grow, increase its creativity and evolve, however, we have found that there is a very small percentage of the videos, which are not a good option for our community. So we are making an update to our Rules and Terms of Use that prohibit explicit sexual content.

For more than 99 percent of our users, nothing really changes. For the rest; We do not have a problem with explicit sexual content on the Internet, we simply prefer not to be the source of it.

Since Twitter launched Vine, it has been apparent that a certain percentage of users began to formulate plans to become the next Larry Flynt. Shortly after the launch of the application, comments were already made about the basis of its policy of zero tolerance for adult sexual content elsewhere.
