Nokia lashes out at the iPhone 5 camera in its latest ad

Lately, all the announcements of competition lashes out at Apple without cutting the slightest bit. On the one hand we have Samsung with its ads that attack not only Apple products but also the users who buy them.

We also have Microsoft to encourage sales of the Surface, it has to attack the iPad. In view of its latest financial results and the discounts applied, it does not seem that the advertising is convincing users, indeed, hardware manufacturers such as Asus or Acer are already turning their backs on Windows 8 RT because they consider it a failure.

Is now Nokia which has taken a similar stance and it targets its ads on iPhone disqualifications. This is something that we already saw in his penultimate commercial and it is repeated again in the advertisement titled "Better Photos Every Day" (Better photos every day) that is a direct criticism of Apple: "Photos Every Day". You can see it below.

If you look at the Nokia ad, they have been used scenes more or less similar to those of Apple. Shortly after starting, a voice tells us the following:

Every day, more photos are taken from the iPhone than on any other phone but at Nokia, we prefer to build quality and not just quantity. Better photos are taken every day from a Nokia Lumia than from any other phone.

The truth is that when it comes to cameras, Nokia is too strong a rival. Before making the leap to the iPhone 3GS back in 2008, my cell phone was a Nokia N82 that was equipped with a 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss sensor and xenon flash. The purchase of the iPhone was a clear step back in this regard.

Currently, cameras such as the Nokia Lumia 925 they are a true work of engineering and they offer results that no other terminal can match. The camera on the iPhone 5 is very good but the camera on the Nokia Lumia 925 is simply on another level. Who knows if the iPhone 5S will match these kinds of comparisons.

Well, why do you want a good camera if the mobile itself is a kick in the balls, my experience was in a presentation recording with my modest iPod 4g and next to me a man with his Nokia Lumia put on and started recording after For a while the cell phone crashes and the camera stays with the shutter closed and you have to remove the battery from the phone and I did not continue recording

It will have been a low-end lumia because what is the 920, 925 and 1020 you can not remove the battery and they work quite well, I like apple, but I have a lumia and it does not seem like a bad phone at all (at least the that I have proven that it is the lumia 920). The app store does not compare, but I do not think they are going astray.

"You don't hate yourself while you despise yourself, you only hate your equal or superior." This phrase by Nietzsche summarizes what the competition does with Apple.

Nokia has no credibility to compare cameras, with the scandal of a few months ago where they used a high-end professional camera saying that it was the Lumia camera, who knows that they open used now, surely a VGA camera (iPhone 5) and a cinema camera (Lumia) ok I'm exaggerating but I know I'm not too far from reality, I prefer HTC, Samsung, Sony and Nexus a thousand times than Nokia, I no longer trust them.

In the presentation of the Nokia Lumia 1020 they made live tests of the camera.

And well, whoever had seen it would drool.

What is the case for advertising one product using another? Who is advertising for? Nothing more to say about Nokia.

Go that nokia is doing things very well ... it just remains that windows phone has more quality applications.

They just need to use Android ... then it gives me my that many companies are going to shake

I think it's a bad time to get this commercial, just when in a couple of months the iphone 5s with a better camera will come out and this commercial will no longer make sense

Because everyone wants to say bad things about an iPhone it will be because everyone knows that an iPhone beats them in aesthetics in that it has more awards than anyone else they stop saying bad things about an iPhone and you have to win over people for yourself

Why compare it to iphone? Because he is the best ...
The truth that iPhone has never stood out for its good camera, although good photos are taken during the day, the best is everything else, which Nokia….

It's simple, they compare it because it is the market leader in the US, if it were HTC the leader they would compare it with HTC it is simply that

It seems incredible, as if you were born yesterday. The strongest is always attacked. Today it is Apple, tomorrow it will be Google and yesterday it was Microsoft.

as nokia passes android…. that shake most of the mobiles.
      it's a rock!
      good design!
and hardware that the iphone would like the most!
And if you don't see it that way, it gives me that you understand a pepper on the phone!
For the record, I have an iPhone, but not how you recognize good hardware as a good computer technician that I am…. not everything is on an iphone 😀

but friends apple is losing many battles, not all users look for or know that it is an iOS.
Many people look for a good mobile which has a good camera or a good screen etc.
ye here apple has been going back these last years, the hardware scene that android has until today is brutal and of all kinds.
and this nokia itself busts the iPhone 5 camera !!

I still think that Apple has not put all the meat on the grill and that it is letting many customers escape just because of its hardware, I have seen much better phones than the iPhone 5, I hope that iPhone 5S is a good advance for Apple, it already happened with iphone 4 and 4S they had to upgrade their hardware quickly to keep competing with the entire Android scene.

Let's see what Apple prepares us for this iPhone 5S

It seems good to us or not Apple is the leader in the US and this type of advertising is very common in that country, comparing a product of yours with that of your competition, in fact it is well seen. Here in Spain it can be done although it is not well seen by the public, that is why we do not see those advertisements here.

I think it is another way of advertising in the US that is not used here, which is ethical or not, well as long as the data is not manipulated and the information is true, I do not think it is not.

When I go out and buy the Lumia 1020 that I am waiting for in Spain, I will be able to tell if the differences are real.

Let's see, you have not understood me well or I have not explained myself, I at no time have said that when symbian came out there were more operating systems, I am talking about today, and it is overwhelming logic that although jobs had not existed the other companies would have continued competing and not everything comes from IOS regardless of who it weighs, it is true that it has greatly influenced how the operating systems of mobile devices are currently, but not all of them come from it. I still remember those extremely large and uncomfortable Microsoft tablets, or PDAs, perhaps without IOS the evolution would have come from there and not necessarily from symbian, or who knows.

Oh and what are you based on to say that Microsoft would be bankrupt? (I mean real data) because if we talk about assumptions many things can be assumed and I do not think that a company like Microsoft (extended to Apple, Samsung, Sony ...) will go bankrupt so easily

To see the Lumia it must be a great phone, I have no doubt, what I will never understand are these sales strategies, for each Lumia they will sell at least another iPhone. Enchanted Apple, I imagine.
In any case, the ad is less insulting than Microsoft's or Samsung's, which actually offend.

Fighting over hardware is always a losing battle. Immediately after the biggest news of… camera, processor, screen resolution…. Whatever !, someone else comes behind (behind is the next day) and improves it.
What some of the critics of Apple tend to lose sight of is that concept, which seems tacky to me, but it is quite clear: the "user experience." That's where Apple tends to get it right, and sometimes other brands as well, but I sincerely believe (as a Windows user, Android user ... who isn't? ...) that that's where they always lost the global battle to this day against the inventions of the apple he bit.
My iMac is 5 years old! Is it obsolete? ... well I don't know, I think not at all, in terms of hardware without a doubt, but I'm still delighted with it. What would you like to be more powerful ... well yes, probably ... who doesn't? But I'm enjoying it like the first day and I'm not sure it will improve my "user experience". I could say the same about my iPhone 5… and the funny thing is that I also say it about my iPhone 4 !!!!, and don't you see how it hurt to get rid of my iPhone 3G (and they paid me very well)… The funny thing is when I see, for example, how my son, for example, freaks out on his Galaxy II ... and to me that it seems like a good mobile ... well no !, he's not cool, he wants to handle me an iPhone 4. haha
I'm not an expert in anything, but Apple founded a system of doing things (hard-soft integration, they call it) that is its unbeatable point so far.

Comparisons are always tedious, what makes Nokia think that by using the iPhone, it will get higher sales? Capture those undecided users ?, why the vast majority of iPhone users and fans will not switch to Nokia to get a "good camera", I assure you! The iPhone user admires its design, construction and materials, the integration of this all-in-one, where the camera is part of, not a camera with a phone! At least I do not change for anything (note that I have interacted with all of you) greetings to all!
