One of Samsung's screen factories in Vietnam quarantines its workers

Samsung is one of the leading providers of iPhone displays, a dependency that has failed to reduce due to high standards that Apple requires. This dependency can be a problem for new iPhones, as Samsung's main screen factory has temporarily closed its doors.

According to Reuters, the Bac Ninh authorities in Vietnam have proceeded to close the Samsung screen factory and put all employees in forty. Apparently, a 25-year-old employee of this plant has tested positive for COVID-19, an employee who is part of the Samsung Display quality control unit.

Vietnam is one of the few countries where the coronavirus has not forced the country to take exceptional measures as in most European countries, India, China, the United States. In fact, this new case is patient 262. This worker who has been isolated at home since April 7. Although it is estimated that he could only have contact with 44 people from the factory, all the workers have been quarantined.

Samsung's facility at Bic Nah is one of the most important for both Vietnam and the Korean company. It was the first plant that the company opened in Vietnam 12 years ago and together with 2 others that have been opened in the country, it generates a quarter of the country's annual exports, which amount to about 60.000 million dollars.
