Samsung pressures Apple to switch from screens to OLED

iPhone

Even without being put up for sale on the market, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and its qualities they are already making a splash in the world of telephony. Beyond the fact that Korean fans affirm that this will be the terminal that ends the iPhone saga -something that they have been repeating like parrots since ancient times-, it cannot be denied that a notorious qualitative leap has been made in the new version of the telephone. Perhaps this is precisely the reason why it is already considered the best phone in the world for its screen.

Samsung is not buying it, and in this case it is true that has managed to get Apple to score an own goal. For those who do not understand too much of specific technical specifications, the fundamental difference between Samsung terminals and those of the apple in the screen component is the technology they use. While the Asian has remained with the OLED mode, those of Cupertino decided and have remained on the LCD. The latter are better in terms of lights, whites and reading; but with the Galaxy S7 the images and colors gain in quality with the second option.

And why do I say the own goal? Very easy, actually, it is not the first time that the need for change in the case of Apple. And the company intends to adopt this type of technology -after the agreements reached- in an average period of between two and three years. The difference is that during all that time, Samsung will have the advantage, and not by its own decision, but because of Apple's delays in insisting on the LCD. We will see if it ends up passing the bill or not

Thanks Cristina, good article, getting to the point, OLED screens are the future, everyone knows it and Apple knows it, also and very importantly they are more efficient, because otherwise Samsung can put the option of the screen always on ??.

I don't know what plans Apple has, but I'm sure that when it brings this technology to the iPhone, the performance and long battery life of our iPhone will be brutal! Obviously it will take years working on it so that when it arrives, it will do it in excess to surpass Samsung and everyone else, but it will sell it as if it were revolutionary, and it will be an innovation in the iPhone that touches it, which will be very good and will sell many units, but it is something that Samsumg and many companies have been doing for many years, and Apple for such a blow continues to extract the juice that LCD does not have.

What Samsung has achieved shows that Apple keeps technologies up its sleeve, to launch it strategically and maintain the level of sales, this is how it works, unfortunately it is not the only company that does it, but there are few that can do it. And this mentality in Apple comes from everything that suffered "relatively" when I presented the first iPhone, and everyone turned to copying the ideas they had in Apple and everyone criticized that it would be a failure, now Apple brings out its innovations strategically , and very closed and patented, there are those who can now copy a touch id like the iphone, or a force touch on the screen, Apple has learned from that and this is unfortunately, a truth of skills that hurts the user.

that apple has technology up its sleeve?
    Well, start with the battery.
apple will have to turn to Japan display to LG or Samsung to match screens of that quality. FINISH

As long as the Samsung continue to carry android, no matter what hardware they put into it, it will remain a chestnut!
