Samsung asks for iPhone logos to be hidden during opening ceremony

iPhone-Samsung

The news that comes to us from Slashgear is curious, according to which Samsung I would be asking the athletes participating in the upcoming Winter Olympics to, during their opening ceremony, hide the apple logo from your iPhone. According to the same source, it would have been the Swiss Olympic team that would have leaked this information.

Samsung, sponsor of the Winter Olympics, is giving away a Galaxy Note 3 to athletes, including the terminal in the gift bag that everyone is receiving upon arrival. But the gift comes with conditions: any other device from another brand, be it iPhone or any other, is prohibited during the opening ceremony. This prohibition would include hiding the Apple logo from the back of the iPhone, so that it is not captured by the cameras during the ceremony that will be televised.

It is common for brands that sponsor events to offer their products free of charge to participants in order to get 'free' publicity. During the opening ceremony of the Olympics we are used to seeing athletes walking with their smartphones, video cameras and photos, and in the close-ups it is easy to identify which terminals it is, so it is an unbeatable advertising showcase. What is no longer so common is expressing so clearly the prohibition of displaying competitor brands. It is clear that Samsung wants athletes to show their Note 3 during the ceremony, which is why it has included it in the gift bag, but even asking for any other brand to be hidden is surprising, not to call it ridiculous.

What he has surely achieved is that many of us are very attentive to the opening ceremony looking at which smartphone each athlete carries in his hand. Will we see many Note 3s or will the iPhone 5s win?

Ridiculous why? Samsung spends a million in the Olympics, I see it normal the truth. Or do you think that if Nike or Adidas could, they would not force, for example, Cristiano Ronaldo to cover the logo of the Real Madrid shirt or Messi to change the logo of the Barcelona shirt?

How ridiculous! To what extent does Samson ... I feel sorry for him. It's like saying "people smarter than me are not allowed" please, what ignorance. Hopefully everyone has iPhones ...

The most ridiculous thing is the headline, samsumg does not say that they cover the apple logos, it says that only their logos are used, and it is logical, it is sponsoring the event, it is what apple or any company does when it sponsors something, stop the yellowing and the bias in the news that this page 2 years ago was serious and has become a mockery, if you want to be read to, post the things that are true.

What would happen if Messi or Cristiano wore sportswear from another brand? Surely they would include contract clauses on all sides among others, it is normal for brands to protect themselves ...

It has just appeared in various sources that both Samsung and the Swiss team have denied that anything published about these limitations is true. We will have to wait until the thing is left.
