Tetris, the movie, now available on Apple TV +

The movie Tetris already on Apple TV +

One of the best games that has ever been and still is, was Tetris. It didn't have spectacular graphics and it wasn't about saving the world either, but it was very addictive and you could easily spend hours playing this game of Russian origin, without flinching. The pieces had to fit in order to move forward. Each new screen meant that the speed at which the pieces fell was increasing. To the point that it was almost impossible to place the pieces correctly. So over and over again. If you've played it, you may know what I'm talking about and if not, maybe you think it's a mediocre game but you should play it. The game was so important that a movie was made and right now you can watch it on Apple TV+ because behind this game there is a power struggle between the two most powerful countries.

Imagine the cold war between the US and Russia. Now imagine that the Americans want to get the commercial rights to one of the most successful games of the time that has been created by a Russian. The tensions are served. It is no longer just about getting the best price for exploitation rights. Is about a matter of state.

This movie is not based on the game itself. The movie is actually more like a biopic. Follow Henk Rogers (played by Taron Egerton who has already acted and appeared on Apple TV + thanks to Black Bird) in his search for Russia to team up with the inventor of Tetris, Alexey Pajitnov, in order to secure the rights of the game.

The film is already available through Apple TV + and if you are a subscriber you will be able to access it without problems via any compatible device with Apple Pay TV.
