The Apple Store in Italy will reopen on May 19

Apple Store

As the weeks go by, some of the Apple Stores that Apple has around the world are returning to normal, although on reduced hours and prioritizing customer service above sales, inviting users to make purchases through the website.

So far, in addition to the stores that Apple has spread out in China, the company directed by Tim Cook, has reopened the doors of the stores of South Korea, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Australia. The next Apple Store that will reopen its doors could be those in Italy.

According to the newspaper Repubblica, as of May 19, half of the Apple Store that Apple has in Italy will reopen their doors. The stores that, according to Apple Insider, have already confirmed their reopening are those in Florence, Eastern Rome and Central Sicily, while those in Leoone and Piazza Liberty in Milan will remain closed.

Repubblica cites an Apple press release on stores, wait times and health procedures, a note that follows the same guidelines that Apple has previously shipped to other countries where stores are already open, and where we can read:

We are happy to start receiving visitors in some of our stores in Italy from next Tuesday. In a situation where many work and study from home, we look forward to providing the service and support they need.

Our social distancing protocol means a limited number of visitors to the store at a time, so expectations may arise for customers. Our thoughts go out to all those who have been affected by COVID-19 and to those who work 24 hours a day to treat, study and contain its spread.

The reopening of the stores, will end at 10 weeks that Apple stores in Italy have been closed.
