Until last year, Apple did not want to admit that it did not stop making a fool of itself by offering terminals of 16 GB, 16 GB that were never real since the space occupied by the operating system had to be discounted, a space that was not little in a device as low as 16GB. Fortunately with the launch of the iPhone 7, the guys from Cupertino They chose to offer 32 GB in the cheapest terminals, leaving aside the 16 GB.
But that does not mean that users who suffer from this model have been forgotten by Apple, since according to what has been verified, Apple continues working to try to reduce the space that the operating system occupies. As proof we can see how the latest beta of iOS 11 occupies 1 GB less than the betas that had been released so far.
For users with 16 GB devices, it is undoubtedly great news that they will surely appreciate, since free space on our device is essential not only to be able to install applications but also to be able to take videos or photographs, with an importance for users above which, for example, the battery life or the performance that it can offer us can have.
As we can see in the images that Redmond Pie has posted, who has carried out the tests, with the beta 6 for developers that has the number 15A5341f, the free space of the terminal that they have used to carry out the tests is 4,79 GB. After installing the latest beta, which is numbered 11A5362a, the available space in the terminal has been increased by 1 GB, offering 5,73 GB of free space.
The final version dand iOS 11 will not hit the market until the first half of September at the earliest, fortnight in which Apple will officially present the new iPhone 8, iPhone 7s and 7s Plus, along with probably the Apple Watch Series 3.
