After leaving Apple, Steve Jobs founded the NeXT Computer company, reuniting part of his previous team with whom he had worked in the company he had founded with Steve Wozniak. The idea was practically the same as Apple, jointly sell both hardware and software including the operating system.
Years later, in 1996 Apple bought the company to update the Macintosh operating system, buying that marked the return of Steve Jobs to the company he had founded and that it supposed the relaunch of the company that in those moments was in low hours.
After his return to Apple, the financial situation of the company was not very good. Steve Jobs spoke with Bill Gates for Microsoft to lend them money in exchange for 4% of their shares and incidentally end the dispute over the graphical interface used by both companies.
Although the figure of Jobs has always been seen as a person obsessed with work, he was not like that, at least in his stage in NeXT, since in his spare time he is dedicated to organic gardening growing natural foods to experiment in the kitchen. These activities were organized by Mark Scheff, a natural food chef who was also in charge in the 80s, of the maintenance of the fine that Jobs had in Albany (California).
According to Scheff, Steve hired several people to help him in his hobby of growing organic food. When Jobs got tired, he decided to give his gardening partner various clothes and items, items that he distributed among his friends, although some of them he kept as souvenirs and that in a few days will be auctioned:
- A pair of used sandals Birkenstock brand
- Una high neck sweatshirt by NeXT
- Un seiko wristwatch used
- Un pen with the Apple logo from the 80s.
- Two business cards / NeXT view.
- And a shipping receipt with the Jobs signature.
And they will pay a pasture for some vulgar stinky flip flops
When will they be auctioned and where I would like to know if it will be in some page or in an auction somewhere in spices
Antonio, all these items have already been auctioned. The Seiko reached a value of $ 40.000, the sandals $ 2750, the polo shirt $ 7.500 and the batch consisting of the business cards, the pen and the receipt with the signature reached the figure of $ 16.260.
