I think exactly the same as your partner, if it does not come out jail for 9.3 I sell my 6plus and I go for a note or something like that.
By the way, I find it really painful what Apple is doing with the theme of the night shift (or whatever it is called), a lifetime was a tweak that, at one point, they put it in the app store and Apple forced them to withdraw it to later include them in an IOS update and take the merit of 4 fanboys who do not see beyond their noses.

Well, I don't miss the Jailbreak, I have an iPhone 6 with iOS 9.3 beta 5 and I'm very happy !!

Agree with you on the jailbreak. I use 6 tweaks that will never be part of ios but without them the experience of using the idevice suffers a lot. But I would never sell my gadget just for not being able to jail let alone trade it for a lagdroid
