Alleged benchmarks of the A10X processor appear and it seems much more powerful than the A10

A10X

Over the years, there are fewer and fewer surprises in the presentations of any electronic device (perhaps the most surprising thing is hearing people who seem surprised…). We are in October and no new iPad is expected until next spring, but that does not mean that the first ones have already been leaked. A10X processor benchmarks which is intended for updating the iPad Pro line.

These benchmarks are posted the Dutch medium (Dutch, as they want us to call them now) Techtastic, a medium that has already published the iPhone 7 benchmarks in advance. Techtastic cites "reliable sources" and ensures that the A10X gets a single-core score of 4236 and 6588 in the multi-core test, which leaves it well above the score achieved by the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

The iPad Pro will beat the iPhone again thanks to the A10X processor

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus achieve a score of around 3500 points in the single-core test and 5600 in the multi-core test, a score that exceeded that achieved by the A9X processor which include the first generations of the 12.9-inch and 9.7-inch iPad Pro. We could say that these results will put things back in their place, since historically the iPad has (almost) always scored higher than the iPhone in this type of test.

When Techtastic and its source obtained the first benchmarks of the A10 processor, the results were more discreet than those obtained by the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus once they were released, so we cannot say that the sources are 100% reliable. In any case, it should not be surprising that the final results vary somewhat from the first results obtained.

The new iPad Pro models are expected to arrive in the spring, thus reverting to the dates when they were presented a few years ago. In addition to the 9.7 and 12.9 model, it is expected that the iPad mini becomes Pro too and includes True Tone screen, 12Mpx main camera and Smart Connector.
