According to its latest hire, Apple is serious about Virtual Reality

Douglas Andrew Bowman, Professor, Computer Science.

After the w or wearable devices and probably before autonomous cars, it seems that "The Next Big Thing" is related to the Virtual Reality (VR). There are already many companies that are working and even have some projects available, such as Samsung and Microsoft, and it seems that Apple also wants to be part of this virtual world in the future. This is what we can think of as a result of the latest purchases and hires made by those in Cupertino.

According to the Financial Times, Apple has hired an important person in the field of Virtual Reality: Doug Bowman. The new signing of Tim Cook and company has based his work on investigating the three-dimensional user interface design and the benefits of immersion in virtual environments. His experience encompasses both immersive Virtual Reality and augmented reality, where a transparent screen shows objects over part of the real environment, just like Microsoft's Hololens or Google Glass do.

Apple will bet on Virtual Reality

This is not the first move Apple has made regarding VR. Bowman's hiring adds to acquisitions of three companies specialized in VR or AR (Augmented Reality): Metaio in May, Faceshift in November and emotient a couple of weeks ago. If we add it all up, it seems that there is no other possibility than Apple plans something related to this technology in the future.

After looking at other companies' devices, one thing is clear: Apple will be relatively late in the Virtual Reality market. But Apple is not characterized by being a company that is the first to create a device, if not by improve and take existing technology to the top. It is something that he has already done with devices such as the iPod (an mp3), with the iPhone (a mobile) and with the Apple Watch (a smart watch). What remains to be seen is what they add to Virtual Reality and if they manage to have a VR device in every home. Time will tell.

To Pablo Aparicio: Hello, how are you? Could you please disable automatic loading, auto-detection or whatever it is called that forces my iPad to see actualidadiphone in mobile device mode. I don't know if you know, but "mobile" versions of websites are the worst invention that has been made so far. And no matter how much I press the button to see the desktop version, it doesn't work, it keeps loading the mobile version.
I like your notebook but if I can't see and / or enjoy it, I'm afraid we'll stop visiting it.
    Many Thanks
    Sincerely

Hello. I will discuss it with the coordinator. But first of all, how do you tell him to put it on your desk? If you press on the refresh page arrow without releasing a second, it allows you to enter desktop mode. It doesn't give me any problems like that.

      A greeting.
