Add notifications to the status bar with OpenNotifier (Cydia)

OpenNotifier

OpenNotifier is a classic that has long disappeared from the headlines of the Jailbreak, to the point that many users think that it is completely abandoned. But nothing is further from reality, because there is a Beta version that works quite well and that perfectly fulfills its mission: take notifications to the status bar, with icons that are fully customizable, and that also allows adding both system functions and third-party applications. We explain how to enjoy this fabulous tweak in iOS 8.

This OpenNotifier Beta will not be found in the official repos, but you will have to add the repo of Tateu, its developer (http://www.tateu.net/repo/) and in it you will find the Beta version of OpenNotifier, which is the only one compatible with iOS 8.

OpenNotifier-Settings

The Tweak is quite configurable. First you have to activate it (Enabled) and then configure some aspects such as if we want the red circles of the notifications to be shown in the icons (Use Badges) or the Notification Center (Use Notification Center). After this we can configure if we want the tweak to be in charge of managing icons such as AirPlay, Alarm, Bluetooth, Do not disturb, etc. At the bottom of this menu we find settings for applications (Apps) and for system functions (System Icons).

In Applications we must select which application we want to be displayed in the status bar and once that is done, choose its icon. Same with system functions. The best thing about OpenNotifier is that allows us to install icon packs to give the appearance we want to those notifications. There are many available in Cydia, and it is easy to find it just by doing a search including the word OpenNotifier. If you want a recommendation, I like the package "OpenNotifier Circule FullColor Icon Pack", to which this screenshot that you go at the beginning of the article corresponds, and which is completely free. If you want to share your favorite icon packs with the rest of the readers, you have the comments open to do so.

Installed, but the truth is that I have no idea how to configure it, because after making the adjustments that I intuitively considered, they do not come out.

    Greetings and thank you.

When you have it installed and configured, restart or respring so that the changes are made.

It would have to respring automatically but it doesn't.
