Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is updated adding 3D Touch support to brushes

Adobe software is used practically all over the world on computers thanks mainly to Photoshop to retouch photographs and to a lesser extent to Premiere, the video editing software that has little or nothing to envy Apple's Final Cut. But for some time now, the company has been joining forces by launching new applications in addition to improving existing ones in mobile ecosystems.

In the App Store we can find fantastic applications to retouch photographs, I am not talking about filters, but Lightroom offers us some features that are not found in the competition like Snapseed of Google. After the last update, Adobe includes new functions in Lightroom, functions that for the regulars of the application will be appreciated.

Among all the novelties that the latest Lightroom update has brought us, the one that attracts the most attention is related to the use of brushes, which thanks to 3D Touch technology we can establish the appropriate pressure level for the stroke to be more or less thick. Obviously this function is only available on all devices compatible with this technology, starting with the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. But Lightroom has also focused on improving support for the Apple Pencil on the iPad Pro, offering different results depending on the pressure we apply with the Apple Pencil.

If we use the camera that the application offers us, thanks to the Show lighting clipping function, the application will show us areas of the image that are overexposed so we can compensate for the exposure or modify the composition so that the result is optimal. If we often take pictures in low light, the camera on the latest iPhone model still offers a noise level that can sometimes be unacceptable, no matter how much Apple says otherwise. In this update, a direct control is added to adjust the noise reduction and focus.

Finally, as in most application updates, Lightroom adds support for the newer cameras and lenses available in ACR 9.12. Adobe Lightroom is available for download completely free of charge through the following link.
