In early 2020, The Information medium stated that Google was working on an alternative to TikTok whose name would be Shorts. In September last year, it officially announced this platform in beta in the United States and India.. 10 months later, YouTube has officially launched Shorts around the world, still in phase.
Unlike TikTok, Shorts is natively included in the YouTube app, so we don't have to install a new application. In this way, YouTube ensures that YouTube users take a look at this platform at some point, if only out of curiosity, and so they can fatten usage figures.
