The last Keynote from Apple brought with it a good handful of news with which they tried to leave us with our mouths open. One of them was the confirmation of a rumor that had been circulating for several months, which referred to the existence of a supposed large iPad. Finally, Apple introduced the iPad Pro, but it did not come alone.
Together with it we have the possibility of acquiring an accessory baptized as Apple Pencil, a pointer focused solely on the professional field, even being tested by Pixar cartoonists. However - and we realized this as soon as we saw it announced - this accessory brings with it a big problem: we can lose it with extreme ease.
Other pointers and similar accessories bring with them some way by which we can attach it to the device so that it does not get lost. However, the one proposed by Apple does not have it, and since it is an accessory with a fairly high price ($ 99), It will not be something we want to miss. Like many times when the world raises a need, on Kickstarter we find a solution.
With this simple accessory you can always have your Apple Pencil under control, whether you are using it (being able to leave it as a support) or if you are not using it (being attached to the side of the tablet so that it always goes with it). What's more, we will not need to get rid of it even if we are charging the iPad, since its format allows it to be coupled in the same way. Thanks to the use of the Lightning connector, Quarter - that's the name of the accessory - can be the perfect solution for many of those who are thinking of buying this new product from the apple company.
You can learn more about Quarter (and buy your unit, if you wish) at the project page on Kickstarter.
I would like to know if the pencil will serve only for the pro
Hello Andres. We still cannot know that. The iPad Pro does not have a screen with a pressure recognition system like the iPhone 6s, so it could initially be used with any other iOS device. What happens is that you will also need special software and that software I do not think will reach other devices. The iPad Pro has 4GB of RAM and the iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6s have 2. I don't think Apple creates software for the latter. In addition, that gives exclusivity to the iPad Pro to help us decide for it.
A greeting.
Thanks Pablo, it would be good if it worked with others, so maybe they would sell more pencil, we will have to wait for the tests.
It only works in the Pro, it puts it on Apple's own website….
