Android Wear 2.0 delays its arrival until next year

A few days ago we informed you of the plans for this year from Motorola, Huawei and LG, which did not include the launch of any new smartwatch with Android Wear. We do not know if it is due to the desperation of the manufacturers due to the limitations offered by Google or because the market is not responding as it should. In fact some manufacturer like Huawei is thinking of starting to use Samsung's operating system, Tizen in the next versions that it launches on the market.

But apparently the main reason is the delay of Google that still does not have Android Wear 2.0 ready, since according to the Android Wear developer page, the new version of this operating system will not arrive until next year, that is, with more functions than those originally presented by Google in the last Google I / O.

Google has taken advantage of the launch of the third beta of Android Wear 2.0 to announce the delay of the final version, scheduled for the end of the year. According to Google, the developer community has reported a large number of incidents and bugs and to be able to correct them they need more time than expected. But incidentally, the Mountain View-based company will take advantage of and add new functions such as the arrival of Google Play to the smartwatch, to be able to install applications and games directly from the watch without having to use the smartphone to do so.

In addition, this third beta also adds the request for permissions, a new action button, smart responses, adaptation to devices with circular screens… At the moment and while Google launches the final version, users with an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus and an Android Wear device are seeing how it is impossible to pair both devices as they could normally do in lower terminals. Google affirms that it is already working to see what the problem is and as soon as it knows it it will inform Apple to solve the problem between them.
