Apple's A12 Bionic processor is twice as fast as Snapdragon 845

Qualcomm, despite its bad relationship with the Cupertino company, is currently the best manufacturer of mobile processors for Android phones. So much so that except for some editions of Samsung or Huawei that bet on their own processor, in general, the higher-end models that mount the Google operating system tend to bet on Qualcomm processors.

However, many specialists have been quick to comment on the benefits of the 12nm A7 Bionic processor that mounts the iPhone X. But ... is the A12 Bionic really a better processor than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845? According to initial calculations, the A12 Bionic is two to three times faster than the best processor Qualcomm has on the market today.

This 7nm processor, unlike what happened previously, has not been manufactured by Samsung, but exclusively by TSMC. It has 6,9 billion transistors, as opposed to the 4 billion that its "little" brother, the A11 Bionic, used. Now comes the data from AnandTech, the guys on the web specialized in the analysis of this type of hardware:

The A12 Bionic processor consumes 12% less power than the A11 Bionic processor, despite requiring more power for certain performance tasks.

Apple's SoC is around two times faster in performance than its main competitors and up to three times more efficient when it comes to power consumption.

Now we understand why the iPhone XS battery has so much difference at the mAh level with for example its direct rival the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (3.300 mAh of the iPhone for the 4.000 mAh of the Samsung model). Be that as it may, if Apple does not have a competitor in something, it is when it comes to designing its processors, things change in terms of the camera, when rivals (by our own tests) such as the Galaxy Note 9 show better performance.
