Apple adds another 20 entities to Apple Pay, and continues to forget Spain

Ay Apple Pay ... How much longer are we going to have to wait for it to progress as it should in Spain? Well, in the meantime we have no choice but to see how the Cupertino company continues to add partners to its contactless payment application in North America, which is corroborating the clear success it is enjoying. In fact, This time the news regarding banks that allow payments through Apple Pay also reach China, where four new credit institutions join those already present.

In short, Apple Pay arrived in Spain at the end of last year with Banco Santander and Carrefour Pass, and despite what many sources have wanted to make you believe about possible exclusions for three months between Banco Santander and Apple, everything indicates that it is a mere rumor that has not been fulfilled, since we are close to reaching the fifth month of the year without Apple Pay having expanded in Spain, seriously undermining its development, since not even public transport services are giving it a chance, who is to blame?

It cannot be that the banks do not want the Apple ring, it has to be that Apple does not negotiate with the banks ... Look, you have to be tabloid.

Not everything you said is true, but hey ………
It is also because for every time you pay with Apple Pay, Apple Pay charges the bank 13 cents. to the bank, not the user. (This has been told to me by a person who works in a bank that I fully trust) (If he was wrong or someone informed him wrong, I don't know anymore, I'm talking about the facts that I know)

This entails some losses to the bank, which although it could recover them with the clients that it gains by having Apple Pay, in Spain it seems that the banks do not see it as feasible (I say) ... and since it is not feasible they would / have to get from somewhere the money they lose by paying apple, then they would / have to increase commissions and so on to get it back. Which entails being able to offer worse conditions in the contracts and other services they provide.

      I see it that way.
I do not mean to criticize anyone, it is just an opinion.

Well, I'm from BBVA (it doesn't have Apple Pay) and I just applied for the Carrefour Pass card to be able to use it. In fact, I think the Carrefour Pass is a very good card: totally free, you can unsubscribe whenever you want and it has small advantages such as low commissions on currency exchanges (1%) and other little details.
In my case, thanks to the fact that my bank has not put the batteries with Apple Pay, I have discovered the Carrefour Pass. I honestly don't see any drawbacks and any Spanish can request it if they want to use Apple Pay.
