There are not a few of us who travel daily on motorcycles, in large cities where pollution and traffic problems are recurrent, the motorcycle, of whatever type, is an extremely interesting alternative. However, navigating the city is becoming increasingly difficult for those of us who bet on the iPhone's GPS when we go off the beaten track.
Now Apple warns us that the vibrations of the mobile phone holder on the motorcycle can cause damage to our iPhone. This is what Apple has made known in one of its supporting documents, but… to what extent can the damage be irreversible?
In theory, and always according to Apple itself, Exposing the iPhone to a series of vibrations in certain frequency ranges and for a long time can cause irreversible damage to the iPhone camera. The vibrations of motorcycles have been pointed out directly by Apple. All of this seems to have its origins in the optical image stabilization system and autofocus systems. This Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) system has been available on iPhone for many years now.
Apple limits itself to advising against their prolonged or habitual use, although it takes electric motorcycles out of the equation, since they seem to cause much less vibration. In short, a jug of cold water for those of us who use the iPhone regularly on the motorcycle.
