Apple begins removing apps from Iranian developers' App Store

In recent months we are seeing how the guys from Cupertino are having some other problem with one of their main sources of income: the App Store. A few weeks ago the Chinese government demanded that Apple remove from the App Store all those VPN applications that They did not meet the requirements of the new law that he had approved.

But Apple not only faces problems far from its borders, it also has to comply with the demands of its government. According to The New York Times, Apple is removing from the App Store a large number of applications from Iranian developers complying with the requirements of the sanctions of the American government.

Apple does not offer any of its products in Iran. There is also no App Store, but in the country there are several million iPhone users, who have obtained their devices in Dubai or Hong Kong, from where they have their own accounts to install applications on the iPhone. The large number of developers who create applications in Iran, offer the same from other Apple Stores, but it seems that it is not reason enough for Apple to have respected the application.

As we read in The New York Times, applications for food delivery, product sales, services and practically any application that has been created by an Iranian developer has disappeared from all App Stores. All developers who have been affected by this decision have received an email, in which they are informed of the withdrawal of its application due to the sanctions of the American government to the country.

A company spokeswoman has confirmed that decision, but has declined to comment on the matter. It all started in January, when Apple began removing apps from the App Store. In February, Apple eliminated all forms of payment available in the applications that were still available. The new US government sanctions on Iran are related to the latest decisions that President Donald Trump has made in recent months.
