With the presentation of the new Beats Fit Pro, new wireless headphones from Beats brand, of which we spoke a few weeks ago, Apple seems to have thought that the current offer is too wide today.
Following the introduction of the Beats Fit Pro, Apple has reduced the number of options available within its range of headphones, and has stopped selling 3 models of the Beats family: Powerbeats, Beats Solo Pro and the Beats EP.
These three models are no longer available through official Apple channels like the Apple Store and the Beats Store, although we will always have Amazon and third-party stores until they run out of stock.
- The Beats Solo Pro They hit the market in 2019 as the first headphones in the Solo range with active noise cancellation and a lightning charging port.
- The Powerbeats they were launched a year later, in 2020, to replace Powerbeats3 with a design inspired by Powerbeats Pro, but cheaper and with a cable that connects the two pieces.
- EP Beats, They are the oldest since they were launched in 2016 as a cheaper alternative to the models already offered on the market. It had no noise cancellation and still relied on the 3,5mm jack.
The reasons why Beats discontinued Powerbeats, Solo Pro, and EP are unknown, but maybe the company wants simplify your product line.
