Apple could use new SSDs from Intel in its MacBooks

MacBook 12

Apple currently uses SSD memories for the mass storage of its MacBook across the range. This helps the system work much faster, since the speed of writing and reading is notably higher in solid memories than in classic HDDs. It was last summer when Intel announced Xpoint 3D, a new storage that was a major step forward in memory technology. It is up to 1000 times faster and more durable than current NAND Flash, which makes it incredibly attractive to the MacBook business, as Apple has always been interested in the cutting edge of storage for its computers.

During the first half of 2016 we will find the first product with 3D Xpoint technology, it will be an SSD called Optane and that could come in the renewal of the MacBook that we all expect for next month. In fact, it is most likely that next week something will be said about new hardware elements in the range of Apple laptops. This new memory is also compatible with the NVM Express protocol that is currently used with SSDs and that provides fantastic performance.

The current MacBook Pro Retina already uses the NVMe protocol, and most likely, as I said in a previous article, is that next week the arrival of Intel's Skylake low-power processors will be announced for the entire range of Apple laptops. . If we take into account that these laptops already support the NVMe protocol, there is no excuse not to use these new Intel memories that promise astonishing speeds. Intel Optane SSDs would significantly improve the performance of current SSDsWe don't know if this would be noticeable beyond normal use, as current MacBook Pro Retina SSDs run blazingly fast.

Hello Jesus. I think they are going to renew the processors for the Intel Skylake and little else. They will probably unload the Macbook Pro and Macbook Air.
