Apple today announced a voluntary recall program for certain power adapter plugs designed for use in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Continental Europe, New Zealand and South Korea. In very rare cases, the affected two-pin plugs can break, risking electric shock if touched. These adapter plugs were included with the Mac, with some iOS devices between 2003 and 2015, and were also included in the Apple Travel Adapter Kit.. Only 12 cases have been detected worldwide, but Apple has preferred to put a solution to the problem before more cases are detected.
