Apple Expands "Think Different" Business Slogan To Its Products

Think different

It's been a while since Apple does not use its slogan "Think Different". Launched with a one-minute TV commercial in 1997, when Apple was trying to convince people to buy a Macintosh instead of an IBM PC, and it hasn't been used since 2002. The last time Apple had used his "Think Different" as a trademark was to support the iPod in its sales.

But the patent department of Apple notes that the company has expanded the presentation as a European brand to cover seven new kinds of products.

Apple has updated the rights to the “Think Different” tagline and has greatly expanded the tagline for its new products. The slogan now covers Apple Watch (horology and chronometric instruments; watches), Apple Pay (financial services); Apple Pencil, iPad (computers, stylus), games, business management, subscription services, telecommunications, broadcasting, music, television, educational services and Siri (maintenance of proprietary software in the field of natural language, speech, language, speech recognition and speech-impression recognition).

With Apple Kit as the primary service today, it's hard to see how the company could make use of the tagline these days, so it's likely that just be a defensive measure to prevent others from doing it (patent and use the motto)as it is an important part of Apple's history.

The TV commercial that aired in 1997 it was narrated by Richard Dreyfuss and Steve Jobs, having narrated an earlier version before deciding it was "a horrible idea."

Apple has paid tribute to the expression in various ways in recent years, the latest in the Swift functions.
