How to shoot on iPhone

Apple has updated its YouTube channel with three new videos that will help us get more out of our iPhone camerafor both video and photography. The videos are a recording of the iPhone screen (this time an iPhone X) interspersed with brief instructions. The result is vertical videos (of which I am a huge fan) that are very dynamic and educational.

Apple has published almost 30 videos in its collection "How to shoot on iPhone" (how to take photos with the iPhone). It is a series of mini-video tutorials intended to explain, simply and quickly, a technique or characteristic of the camera.

On this occasion, Apple teaches us to take photos from above (for example, to photograph a plate of food). From something as obvious as avoiding the shadows caused by a superior light -something that always happens to me-, to something unknown to many, such as the level that appears when placing the iPhone horizontally, if we have the grid activated (you have to go to iPhone Settings and "Camera"). By aligning the two crosses that appear, we will achieve that the photograph is taken completely parallel to the surface.

As well teaches us to take advantage of the three black and white filters. In black and white photos, the important thing is the contrast. With the different filters and controlling the exposure, we will achieve the ideal contrast.

Finally, not everything is photography. This time they teach us to adjust the videos to slow motion. Specifically, how to modify the video section that we want to appear with this effect.

Remember that you have many more videos on Apple's YouTube channel, as well as on the "How to shoot on iPhone" website. I have seen them all and I must admit that I have learned more than one interesting trick.
