Apple uses Hertz leasing for self-driving test cars

Could you imagine that the company richer the planet could presumably be wasteful. But it seems that nothing is further from the truth, at least those are the information that comes to us about the method that Apple is using to not spend a dollar more on the test vehicles of its autonomous car. In fact, the idea that Apple is not working on a self-driving car itself, but on an adaptive system is increasingly valuable.

The reality is that the Cupertino firm has not chosen to acquire cars that will probably be useless after the technology has been developed. In fact, he has opted for the leasing alternative and it is the Hertz firm that is collaborating with his services.

These indications about the Hertz and Apple relationship have come to light through the California Department of Motor Vehicules. The public body seems to be aware that Apple has a leasing contract with Hertz whose object is a small fleet of vehicles of the Japanese firm Lexus (owned by Toyota), more specifically the SUV model RX450h, all a detail that they use hybrid vehicles for the tests of the autonomous car, since we start to save, it was not going to be less with the fuel and with the CO2.

Obviously, since this news was known in the United States of America, Hertz shares have risen 15% (at the time of this writing). It seems that investors and speculators do not waste time doing business with any company that is come up a little bit to the consumer electronics giant. In short, it is not a pioneering move, in fact Alphabet (Google's mother company) has made the same contract with Avis, but in this case using a Chrysler Pacifica model vehicle.
