Apple is removing removed apps from purchase history

not-available-app-store

I have always been very cautious about keeping a copy of all the applications that I have previously purchased over the years from the App Store. While is true that It has always been possible to download it again from the App Store even if it had been withdrawnFor whatever reason, there are several users who are expressing their discomfort that they are not able to re-download applications and games that had previously been removed from the App Store.

Everything seems to indicate that this change is not due to a specific error in the App Store, but apparently Apple has unilaterally changed the conditions, in which if you want to reuse applications that have previously been removed from the App Store, you will have to keep a copy of it on your computer, otherwise it will be impossible to recover it.

In order for Apple to keep a copy of the application, if it has been previously withdrawn from stores in other countries, the application must be available for download in any other App Store in another country. If an application is removed from all App Stores, the application will disappear completely from the App Store and even if users have paid for it, they will no longer be able to download it again.

An Apple spokesperson has confirmed this change stating:

If an application that the user owns is removed from the App Store, they will no longer be able to download it again from their purchase history. If developers remove apps from the store, they cannot be downloaded again from the App Store.

Personally I just checked it and it is completely true. Currently I continue using Tweetbot 3, because I resign myself to paying again for Tweetbot 4, an application practically the same as the previous version but compatible with iPad. Tweetbot 3 is no longer available for redownload in my search history, which will force me to keep the .ipa file safe in case I have to restore the iPhone, until I decide to update to Tweetboot 4, if I decide to.

The desire for enrichment is leading to products with mediocre software, treating the customer as they please, without the slightest hint of responsibility, it seems that irresponsible companies want to match themselves that what counts is the profit, without counting on the customer. But the time will come when we users reveal ourselves and change the perception of loyalty.
Personally, I am ashamed to have invested such an amount of money for iPhone 6 Plus and Watch 42 mm steel link bracelet that at first worked acceptably well and it was just that they were updated to screw everything to the devil, I can not imagine the fiasco that a buyer is taken with any of these products by checking inefficient, mediocre, and unpolished software, all in an effort to sell a product every year.

It happens to me with the Monkey Island retired by Disney. It must be assumed, for those who defend games in digital format. You buy the physical one, you rent the digital one, and what is worse, you never know until when.
