Apple releases iOS 11.4 Beta 4 along with the rest of Betas for macOS, tvOS and watchOS

Less than a week after launching the third Beta of iOS 11.4, Apple has released another new limited version for now for developers along with the respective new Beta versions for the rest of the platforms. iOS 11.4, macOS 10.13.5, tvOS 11.4, and watchOS 4.3.1 They already have their new Beta version ready to download from the developer center.

With iOS 11.4 Apple seems to want to include some of the promises made during the last WWDC and that it has not yet fulfilled, almost a year later. AirPlay 2 and Messages in iCloud are some of those promises that are yet to come, and now there are also signs that the HomePod could have access to Calendar, in addition to Messages, Notes and Reminders that are for now the functions that we can use with the speaker.

In addition to these developments in iOS 11.4, we can see interesting changes in the betas of other devices, such as in tvOS 11.4, where the Apple TV appears again in the Home application, even being able to assign it a room. With AirPlay 2 we can use Apple TV as a Multiroom device to play music as if it were just another speaker (through the television speaker). Who knows if through Siri we can also control it with this new function.

watchOS 4.3.1 Beta does not include major improvements compared to the last public version, watchOS 4.3, although we can see a message signaling the near end of non-native apps on the Apple Watch, by indicating that if the application we use is not optimized we will not be able to continue using it shortly. macOS 11.13.5 for its part introduces the classic performance improvements and Messages in iCloud, without other notable new features.

It is very good that they continue with the OS update but they should improve their performance a lot.
