Fulfilling expectations this afternoon Apple has just released the fourth Beta of the upcoming updates for all its operating systems: iOS 12.3, macOS 10.14.5, watchOS 5.2.1, and tvOS 12.3. These preliminary versions thus reach their fourth version, currently only available to developers.
One of the main novelties of this version 12.3 of iOS is the new TV application with which we can enjoy Apple's new streaming service and which will include other services such as HBO or Starz. This new app is also available on tvOS for Apple TV HD and 4K, and will also appear on old Apple TV 3, although the latter does not have tvOS.
This new version for iPhone and iPad is practically focused on the new TV application, which will serve as a “service center” to be able to quickly view all the content that we have available to view in the services that we have contracted, as long as they are compatible. Netflix has already announced that it has no intention of participating in this Apple project, which does have the support of HBO. This streaming service is curiously one of the most criticized for its unfortunate application for any of the available platforms, but Apple users will be able to ignore it and use it from the iOS and tvOS TV app.
There are not many more news to highlight in these betas, nor in the other versions of software for Apple Watch or Mac, where they are hardly dedicated to solving the detected problems and improving performance. We are downloading the Beta on our devices and if we see something worth highlighting we will inform you about it.
