Apple has begun marketing the new series of Lego construction kits called "Hidden Side." They are jointly designed between Cupertino and Denmark to offer a mixed physical and augmented reality experience.
Hidden Side is a new series of LEGO sets which is based on a "creepy and creative ghost world." Provide children with a construction toy brought to life by augmented reality in a iPhone or iPad.
This new collection of LEGO kits is starring Jack and Parker, two boys who capture ghosts in different areas of the city. It's kind of like the Ghostbusters version of LEGO.
With this new collection of LEGO sets, the kids can build the figures and their decorations to later see them through an iOS device in an interactive game using AR (Augmented Reality) technology. They create different 3D animations depending on the kit. With the set of Shrimp man strandedFor example, children explore a sunken boat that has "strange and surreal secrets," and then get involved in a sailor's fight.
All sets have unique interactions. They have mysteries to solve, items to find, different games, ghosts to collect, and a ghost captain battle.
Like the Danish firm's traditional sets, all of these assembly kits come with minifigures, animals, and other accessories to suit the theme at hand, along with all the necessary parts to create the desired setting.
The augmented reality application also works autonomously. You don't have to be pointing at the LEGO stage all the time. In this mode you have to manage the captured ghosts, activating another series of games in which the ghosts level up as we pass tests.
The app. LEGO hidden side is free, available for iOS and Android, but only compatible with devices that support ARcore augmented reality.
