Apple Music already has 60 million subscription users

Amid the complaints by Spotify underlying Apple is the interest in these platforms: streaming music services. Billions of users make use of music playback on all available platforms, but the key to companies is engage users with your features until they reach the point where they want to pay to dispose of them.

Eddy Cue, the vice president of software and Internet services and head of iTunes, has confirmed in a French medium that Apple Music already has 60 million paying subscribers. 8 months ago, in November 2018, that figure was around the 56 million.

Apple Music continues to grow apace

The battle to be the most listened to music service is getting more and more raw. However, the data speaks for itself. At the moment, the king of these services is Spotify with more than 100 million paying subscribers that has been reaping since its launch in 2003. On the other hand, there is Apple Music, which had 56 million paying subscribers in November of last year, but yesterday the data was updated by the hand of Eddy Cue, Apple's iTunes boss:

Apple Music has 60 million paying subscribers. Beats 1 is the radio station for Apple Music and has over millions of listeners daily.

These statements were shared by Numerama, a French medium to which Eddy Cue gave an interview. In addition to these data, they spoke about the Disappearance of iTunes in pursuit of diversification of contents. Cue assured that although he believes that iTunes is a good tool and he likes it, he thinks that «Apple Music is absolutely the best in all aspects".  He also commented that there is no use looking back when the evolution of services has been so drastic in recent years.

He was also asked by the number of paying subscriber users outside the Apple ecosystem, that is, they do not use Apple Music from a device with iOS, tvOS or macOS. Eddy Cue assured that he knew the number but «I can not say it«. Hopefully in the future these data will come to light and we can analyze them.
