Apple Music begins to reach Google smart speakers

Nest Home

Despite the fact that Apple has not updated the number of subscribers of its streaming music platform for more than a year and a half, since Apple continues to work to bring its service to a greater number of users.

In this sense, Google has just announced through his blog, which the Nest Audio, Nest Hub Max, Nest Mini and others range of speakers have started to be updated to be compatible with Apple Music via Google Assistant, but at the moment only in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany and Japan.

In order to play Apple Music through Google's smart speakers and devices with a screen, the first thing the user has to do is link Apple Music account in Google Home app, an application that allows us to set Apple Music as the streaming music application by default.

To invoke the Google assistant, users have to use the command "OK Google" followed by the name of the song or album they want to listen to, from the playlist, from the daily Apple Music playlist….

You can ask Google Assistant to play any specific song, artist, or playlist available on Apple Music, and you can play music based on genre, mood, or activity.

You can also play the songs you like from your Apple Music library by saying, "Ok Google, play my songs" or "Ok Google, play my library." If you have more than one compatible smart display or speaker, you can use our multi-room control feature in the Google Home app or on a Nest smart display to dynamically move your music from device to device, and even play Music on all the devices in your home by saying, "Ok Google, play music on all my speakers."

With the arrival of Apple Music to Google smart speakers, Apple's streaming music service is now available, in addition, in the Sonos devices and Amazon Echo devices.
