Apple One is now available to hire and so on be able to save a few euros if you have contracted several Apple services. How much can you save? What does it offer? We will tell you everything below.
After months of rumors, Apple announced this fall its first service package with which users who have contracted several Apple services can save a few euros each month. Apple One, as the company has christened this "all in one", offers us iCloud, Apple Music, Apple TV + and Apple Arcade services at a lower price of what it would cost us hiring them separately.
Individual and family package
One of the most interesting features of this Apple One is that it offers two different prices depending on whether we want to enjoy these services with our account or if we want to share them with the members of our family, up to 6 in total.
- Individual package: € 14,95 per month for Apple Arcade, Apple Music, Apple TV + and 50GB of iCloud that you can use on all the devices you have with your iCloud account.
- Paquete familiar: € 19,95 per month for Apple Arcade, Apple Music, Apple TV + and 200GB of iCloud that you can use up to 6 members who are included in the same family, on all devices, each with their own iCloud account.
The family package will style with each iCloud account of the members of that family, so the recommendations and preferences of each will be independent, the privacy of each account is guaranteed and the series or musical lists will not be mixed. If you have not tried any of the services included in Apple One before, you will have one month of free trial of that service, and of course there is no type of permanence, being able to cancel the service at any time.
How much do I save with Apple One?
It depends on whether you hire the individual or the family account, the savings may vary. If we calculate the price of each of the services separately and compare it with what Apple One costs, the savings vary from € 6 per month for the individual package to € 8 per month for the family package.
What if I need more iCloud storage?
The only service included in Apple One that has different quotas is iCloud. While Apple Music, Apple Arcade or Apple TV + are an "all or nothing", iCloud has various prices depending on the storage you hire. 50GB is included with the single package, and 200GB with the familiar one, but what if you need more than 200GB? Apple offers you the option to continue hiring Apple One and add more iCloud storage, so there is no problem in that regard. On the 200GB of the family plan, the prices of that extra iCloud would be:
- + 50GB for € 0,99 per month (250GB in total)
- + 200GB for € 2,99 per month (400GB in total)
- + 2TB for € 9,99 per month (2.2TB in total)
The service will be “Available this fall”… it cannot be contracted yet. Why do you say that it can already be hired?
Because it is already available. Look in the subscriptions menu of your device.
But a question arises for me. In everything I read about expanding storage, they talk about family plans. I currently have 200gb. If I want an individual plan that only brings 50Gb, can't I expand to 200? Or 250?
Everyone is given the 200 gb of the cloud or only to the subscriber?
The family plan is 6 members x 200 Gb each, or the 200 Gb to be distributed among the 6? ..
