Last Monday Apple presented the second iPad Pro in the range, a 9,7-inch device that has very similar characteristics to those of its older brother, but as we have seen in the different comparisons that we have published, the iPad Pro of 9,7 , 12,9 has some better things and some worse, the problem is that the worst affect the performance of the device over the years, as is the case with RAM. The XNUMX-inch iPad Pro has 4 GB of memory and an A9X processor while the 9,7-inch model only offers us 2 GB of RAM with the same processor.
The new smaller iPad Pro has exactly the same accessories as the larger one, such as the Smark Keyboard and the Apple Pencil. But to these two accessories we have to add a new one. This new accessory is none other than the Office suite par excellence Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft's subscription service to all the applications that compose it.
Today the period to reserve the new 9,7-inch iPad Pro has started. When we make the reservation and go to the accessories section, Apple shows us the Smart Keybard in addition to the Apple Pencil and a subscription to Office 365. But it also shows if we are going to buy one of the smaller iPads or category such as the iPad Air 1, 2, iPad Mini 2 or 4. Until the presentation of the new 9,7-inch iPad Pro Apple had never offered the Office 365 subscription as an accessory.
Some sources affirm that this movement is oriented to try attract all those users who come from Windows and they do not want to miss any application. But the logical thing in this case is to think that both companies, Apple and Microsoft, have reached a mutual agreementSince of all subscriptions made through Apple, the Cupertino-based company takes the usual 30%.
Apple remains determined to convince users that the iPad Pro, in its two versions, is the ideal device for all those users who want to stop using a laptop or desktop in their day to day. But we must remember that it is still a device with a mobile operating system, which cannot allow us to perform the same functions as with a Mac or PC, unless the use we make of our equipment is to check email, view Facebook, post photos on social networks and little else.
