In the Cupertino laboratories work does not stop and although most of us are already more aware of the next operating systems that will see the light after the summer, there is still, at least, a previous update that, without bringing great news, will always mean a improved performance and stability.
This is the case of the operating system that integrates the fourth generation Apple TV, tvOS, which will soon receive a new update and which continues to advance in its improvement. Is about TvOS 10.2.2, of which the developers already have the fifth test version in their possession.
During the afternoon of Thursday, the software managers of the company with the bitten apple gave free rein to the fifth beta version of the next update that we will receive on our Apple TV devices. The TvOS 5 Beta 10.2.2 has reached developers for testing purposes just two weeks after the fourth beta version of the next update was released, and more than a month after the official release of tvOS 10.2.1.
For those unaware, tvOS 10.2.2 is only going to be available for the fourth generation Apple TV. All those users registered as such can now download and install the update by connecting your Apple TV 4 to a computer via a USB-C cable and through iTunes. Once the beta profile has been installed on the device, the updates will appear available in the same way as if they were new official versions, and can be applied via OTA.
As I anticipated at the beginning, there were no major feature changes or even bug fixes in the first four betas of tvOS 10.2.2, so the update focuses on minor performance and security improvements.
tvOS 10.2.2 is probably the last or penultimate update that Apple TV 4 receives before the new version is released TvOS 11 whose beta is also already in the hands of the developers, as is the public beta.
