One more year, the Cupertino boys have returned to top the ranking of the world's most admired companies according to Fortune. The change of direction that saw the arrival of Tim Cook to the position of CEO of Apple replacing the late Steve Jobs, seems to have at no time affected the admiration of other companies.
Within the classification of the most admired companies, Amazon finished in second place, runner-up for the third consecutive year in this curious classification that is made by executives, managers and securities analysts. In third position, we find Berkshire Hathaway (Waffen Buffet's holding company), followed by The Walt Disney Company in fourth position and Starbucks that completes the top five positions.
Microsoft is in sixth position, Google in seventh while to find Samsung, we have to go down to the fiftieth position. One more year, Apple topped the main categories such as innovation, the quality of the management, the social responsibility, the use of the company's assets, the financial soundness, the quality of the services, products as well as the global competitiveness.
As I have commented above, this classification is not made by users, Rather, it is prepared by some 3.750 executives of large companies, analysts, managers and experts who select the 10 companies they most admire, scoring independently each of the categories that are part of this ranking.
To select the 10 companies they most admire, they had to choose from a list of companies that were among the 25 most valued companies in last year's survey and those that increased their volume by 20% last year. Fortune too asked in this survey their opinion on the reputation of executives led by these companies. 79 of the respondents rated Tim Cook as "underrated" while 183 rated him as "overrated",
"The change of direction that saw the arrival of Tim Cook to the position of CEO of Apple to replace the late Tim Cook"
