Apple reminds developers of iAd's demise

A few months ago Apple announced the closure of the iAD platform, scheduled for June 30 of this year. iAd is the advertising platform of the Cupertino-based company that was introduced by Steve Jobs in 2010, but its use has not been what Apple initially intended, and the campaigns used and created by skinners have been quite scarce, and therefore the income generated by this deficient platform since its birth. But another reason for the lack of success of iAd has been due to the low income it offers compared to the rival platform and current king of the advertising world, Google.

With just over a month left for the final closure of Apple's ad platform, the company has again reminded the developers through an email, the closure of the platform. All the campaigns that are in force at the time of closing iAds will continue to function until June 30, the date scheduled for the closing of the service.

You are receiving this email because you have accepted the 'Developer Advertising Services Agreement' (“Agreement”) to use the iAd advertising network and related services. We'd like to thank you for allowing Apple to serve ads in your mobile apps. As you know, iAd and related advertising services will stop working on June 30, 2016.

Note: If you have any amount pending collection, you can request payment until September 30. Campaign reporting data will be available through December 31, 2016.

This email shall serve as written notice that Apple will exercise its option to terminate the 'Agreement', effective until June 30, 2016, 23:59 PM PDT. Nothing contained in, or omitted from, this notice shall be deemed a waiver of any of Apple's rights, remedies, or defenses, all of which are expressly reserved.
