The rumors that Apple could launch new headphones alongside iPhone 12 They are red hot, even more so after Apple has removed the page dedicated to Beats from its main website.
Apple bought Beats in 2014, and in these six years the rumors that the brand could end up disappearing have been constant. It was first discussed that Apple's only interest in acquiring Beats lay in its music service, Beats Music, but Cupertino's interest in headphones and speakers has been on the rise ever since, with launches like the AirPods, AirPods Pro or the HomePod. Apple has been updating Beats headphones to offer the same features as its AirPods, such as automatic pairing, but the end of Beats headphones may be closer than ever.
A few days ago we told you that Apple was leaving the Beats application to update its headphones, a process that from now on would be carried out directly by connecting the headphones to an Apple device, as is the case with AirPods. 24 hours after the presentation event of the new iPhone 12, Apple has removed the page dedicated to Beats products from its website, a sign that perhaps it is making important changes to it, or it may be definitively going to withdraw Beats from its website to end up completely absorbing the brand, which would disappear in favor of the Apple brand itself.
The AirPods Studio, Apple's over-ear headphones, could mark the end of Beats as a brand. Apple would already have a range of headphones wide enough to be able to do without Beats products, with basic headphones such as the AirPods, the AirPods Pro as premium in-ear headphones and the AirPods Studio as premium headband headphones, which is also rumored to come in two models, one cheaper and sportier, the other with premium materials at a higher price.
