Apple stops signing iOS 9.1. Now only iOS 9.2 can be installed

It's been more than a year since Apple forgot one of its ugly habits: stop signing an iOS version just an hour after the latest version was released. This could cause some users to install the new version of iOS and discover that they have installed a serious bug, such as the loss of network in the first versions of iOS 8. Having explained the above, today we have to give the news that Apple already stopped signing iOS 9.1. From now on, users with any iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad compatible with iOS 9 can only install iOS 9.2 or any of the iOS 9.2.1 betas. However, the fact that iOS 9.1 can no longer be installed is not bad news (although not good news), since that version of iOS was no longer vulnerable to any jailbreak.

As we told you yesterday, TaiG is working on a jailbreak for iOS 9.2 which, according to rumors, they have almost ready. The other Chinese hacker team, Pangu, is also working on a jailbreak for this version of iOS, so everything seems to indicate that when a new tool is released, it will be released for iOS 9.2-9.2.1. This, coupled with the fact that iOS 9.2 improves the performance of the previous version, is what makes us not worry because we can no longer install iOS 9.1.

If you have an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad with iOS 9.1 waiting for a jailbreak to be released for that version of iOS, my recommendation is that you forget and install iOS 9.2. There is no team of hackers working to release a jailbreak for iOS 9.1, so it is best to install the most current version that works best.
